Nicholas A. Nash

Nicholas is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Asia Partners. 

Mr. Nash is on the Board of Directors of Snapask, Asia Partners’ second investment; and SCI Ecommerce, its fourth investment.

Prior to Asia Partners, Mr. Nash was the Group President of Sea, Greater Southeast Asia’s leading internet company, from 2014 to 2018. As of 9 May 2022, Sea is a US$43Bn market cap company and the largest company by market capitalization across Southeast Asia.  Mr. Nash led Sea’s landmark initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: SE), which raised approximately US$1Bn of primary capital and which was the largest ever U.S. IPO of a technology company from Southeast Asia.

Mr. Nash joined Sea after more than a decade with General Atlantic (“GA”), most recently as the co-founder and head of GA’s Southeast Asia business. Three of Mr. Nash’s successful investments while with General Atlantic, namely Genpact (NYSE: G), QTS (NYSE: QTS), and Sea (NYSE: SE), are now multi-billion dollar NYSE publicly traded companies. Prior to GA, Mr. Nash was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York.

Mr. Nash was a member of the World Economic Forum’s ASEAN Regional Strategy Group from 2017-2018. Mr. Nash was a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations from 2013-2018 and is a member of the global Kauffman Society for leadership in venture capital, a member of the Young Presidents Organization in Singapore and a board member of Endeavor Indonesia. He has also served as a board member of A*Cellerate, the ‘deep-tech’ commercialization effort of Singapore’s government research institutes.

Mr. Nash received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2007, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.  He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Chemistry and Physics, magna cum laude, in 2000. In 1996 he was named a United States Presidential Scholar, one of the nation’s highest academic honors for graduating secondary school students.
