Jill is the Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Asia Partners.

Ms. Cheong spent the last 15 years in New York in the banking, financial services asset management space. Prior to joining Asia Partners in Singapore, Ms. Cheong was the Chief Financial Officer and key member of the management team of VWH Capital, a distressed credit and whole loans private equity fund. She oversaw all non-investment aspects of the fund, which includes fund accounting, financial reporting, compliance, tax, human resources, IT, and office administration.

Prior to VWH Capital, Ms. Cheong was Vice President at Blackstone’s credit investment platform (“GSO Capital”) and was responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting of hybrid private equity and hedge fund styled funds that invest across a variety of credit-oriented strategies. In addition, Ms. Cheong held various roles within Finance groups at Macquarie Bank (Fixed Income Credit Trading Division) and KBC Financial Products (Investment banking operations of KBC Bank, Belgium). Ms. Cheong also supervised audits and provide advisory services to hedge funds, private equity and multinational clients at Ernst and Young, New York and KPMG Singapore.

Ms. Cheong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
